Barley Malt is a natural sweetener made from an extract of sprouted barley. As a sugar substitute, Barley Malt is a natural whole food and is easier on your blood sugar highs and lows. We blend 10% maltodextrin (from corn) in order to limit clumping and to allow for free flowing. Maltodextrin is a pure carbohydrate that is a synergistic and complementary sweetener.
